The BMW INPA EDIABAS hardware-software complex is designed for professional diagnostics, coding and programming of electronic control units for BMW, Rolls Royce and Mini cars. The scanner has access to any car ECU. Functions of reading real-time parameters and test actuators allow you to monitor the correct operation of any control body.

Unlike previous versions of Inpa / Ediabas v5.0, as well as subsequent versions (5.0.2 and others), all 32-bit Windows applications work without problems in Win98, NT and XP, as well as in VISTA and Win7 (in XP compatibility mode).

Use caution when using the scanner. The program has special functions and engineering modes, for example, the preservation of various ECUs to reduce energy consumption during long-term parking. If you accidentally activate such a function, most of the car’s electronics will go into “deep hibernation” and you will have to spend a lot of time to reactivate them. And the rash use of the interpreter when creating your own diagnostic algorithms in general can lead to unpredictable consequences.

Minimum PC requirements:

Operating system Windows® 98/2000 / XP / VISTA (in XP compatibility mode) / Win7 (in XP compatibility mode);
Intel Pentium II® 300MHz processor or equivalent;
The amount of RAM from 64MB;
Free hard disk space 400Mb;
COM port or USB port (depending on the version of the adapter purchased).

Installing BMW INPA EDIABAS for Windows XP

It is advisable to strictly follow the installation guidelines, then you will succeed!

1. Install \ _Install_EDIABAS_INPA_NFS \ NFS \ Entpackt \ disk1 \ SETUP.EXE, click everywhere everywhere by default, select OBD in interfaces

2. Unpack the _Install_EDIABAS_INPA_NFS \ INPA \ inpa_5_0_1.tgz archive into a separate folder
and copy the contents of the folder to the directory C: \ EC-Apps.
It should be like this C: \ EC-Apps \ INPA ...

After that, unpack inpa_5_0_2 into a separate folder and copy it to INPA over 5_0_1 here

3.1 Run BMW \ INSTALL \ instprog.exe and install all updates. In the choice of configuration, select BMW Group Rectification programs UK and put all the checkboxes.

To work, use the INPA label (_.IPO) from the EDIABAS INPA ELDI NCS NFS program group.

After the installation is complete, MUST restart the computer.

If the program suddenly doesn’t find the adapter, launch the OBDSETUP.EXE driver installer from the C: \ EDIABAS \ HARDWARE \ OBD folder

The choice of the COM port number is done using the Configure.exe program.

For the program to work with the USB interface, you need to copy the OBD configuration file from the Files folder to the Windows folder.
It should be spelled out:
Port = Com1
Hardware = USB

For the NCS Russification, copy the NCSEXPER file (files folder) to the C: \ NCSEXPER \ CFGDAT \ folder
